With the arrival of the new year we are taking some time to look back on 2024, a great year of selling real estate, and we are reminiscing on some of our favourite sales. One very notable deal was the historic and picturesque church down in Crescent Beach.
The Katronis team had the honour of selling the little white church on Beecher Street. This well known landmark was first built in 1946 and is known as the All Saints Community Church. What really makes this sale special is that although the church is historic, it is not fully protected and could potentially be torn down. Therefore, finding the right buyer was crucially important for maintaining this piece of local history.
Andrew Garisto led the sale, with help from Edith Katronis in getting the deal done in a reasonable amount of time. The team was able to connect with the perfect long term buyer, who is enabling the church building to stay and All Saints Community Church to stay open.
The church congregation enjoys being a part of and supporting the local community in several different ways. They have organized beach and village garbage clean-ups, coordinated food and clothing drives and support local cafes and restaurants. They display an outdoor life-sized nativity scene every Christmas and offer prayer times and Sunday services.
This sale provides a long term positive impact for the community. The church will be able to remain as is for many years to come. It is a quaint and welcoming building that perfectly reflects and adds to the charm of the cozy sea side town.
