What: Who doesn’t love bowling? The satisfying sound of the ball striking the pins. The big “X” that shows up on the screen. Laughing together at the ball doing the wobble down the gutter. At over 60 years old, Clover Lanes certainly isn’t old. With glow-in-the-dark bowling, a BOSE sound system, it’s hip, it’s hop, it’s happening. Bumper bowling for the smaller ones.

Fraser Valley Heritage Railway
Where: HWY 10 (56 Ave) and 176A Street just behind the Clydesdale Inn.
What: They were on a mission: “To restore and to operate heritage interurban cars on the original BC Electric Railway Route through Surrey and the Fraser Valley to link heritage tourism destinations.” Come learn how we USED to get around and even take a running interurban from the rejuvenated Cloverdale Station up to Sullivan Station. Great for the train buff, the history buff, and the kid at heart.

Redwood Park
Where: 17900 – 20 Avenue, Surrey
What: Just off of 176th Street, this park is actually 40 acres of land that was given to deaf twin brothers in the late 1800’s by their father on their 21st birthday. They planted 32 different species of trees from around the world, including a grove of Redwoods, and, boys being boys, decided to build a two-storey treehouse to live in (it’s been rebuilt a few times because of fires). Look for the fairy doors in the trees.
