How To Get Involved In Your Local Community!
Coretta Scott King once said “the greatness of a community is most accurately measured by the compassionate actions of its members” and here at the Katronis Real Estate Team we wholeheartedly believe that statement.
Being a local business, we know how important it is to support other local businesses and give back to our community. For us, supporting local and volunteering in local events shows that you care about the community you live in. We believe it teaches people of all ages compassion and understanding.
Giving back and helping others has such a positive impact on our lives, making us happier, more balanced and a greater sense of purpose in every day.
The Coldest Night of The Year
So once again the time has come, The Coldest Night Of The Year is fast approaching and this is a way we like to give back by being the lead sponsor of this event. This event which raises money for The Cloverdale Community Kitchen is their major fundraiser of the year.
The Coldest Night of the year is a national fundraising walk to raise awareness and funds for charities that serve the hungry and homeless in your local community. Tens of thousands of Canadians step outside the comforts of their warm homes to walk through the cold and dark to advocate for people without a home, for people who struggle to house and feed their families and to walk humbly realizing anyone can lose their way and then lose everything else.
This year the event is held on February 22nd, 2020, and starts at Pacific Community Church which houses The Cloverdale Community kitchen. To find out more information click here.
