Location & Boundaries

Pacific Douglas sits at the southern tip of Surrey, generally bound by 0 Avenue to the south, 24 Avenue to the north, and 176 Street to the east, with Grandview Heights bordering the area to the north. It's part of the wider Douglas planning area, which also takes in Hazelmere, Elgin, and Sunnyside.

Shopping & Commercial Areas

Local shopping is still developing alongside the neighbourhood itself, with the Campbell River Store currently serving as a gathering spot for groceries, gas, and banking, and the City of Surrey has further retail and commercial development planned along 176th Street. Residents also make regular use of the broader shopping along King George Boulevard, as well as the shops and services just across the border in Blaine, Washington.

Housing Stock

Pacific Douglas offers a mix of newer detached homes and townhomes built over the past several years, alongside remaining pockets of hobby farms and open acreage from the area's more rural past. Summerfield, one of the largest housing developments in the neighbourhood, has become a popular choice for young professionals, young families, and downsizers looking for newer construction in a quieter, semi-rural setting.

Transportation

Highway 99 and Highway 15 both run near the neighbourhood, giving quick access north to the rest of South Surrey and White Rock, and south to the US border crossings. King George Boulevard is a short drive away for those commuting further into Surrey.

Parks & Recreation

Pacific Douglas is a golfer's destination, with Peace Portal Golf Course and the Peace Arch Golf Centre both in the area, and Meridian Par 3 and Hazelmere Golf & Tennis Club just minutes away. Redwood Park, over 113 acres of mature forest with more than 50 tree species, is nearby for walking and hiking, along with Semiahmoo Beach, Peace Arch Provincial Park, and trails along the Little Campbell River. The City of Surrey has also set aside land in the community for a future local park and school.
